TEAM WORK is the coming together of multiple persons to collaborate in creating/making and accomplishing a central goal.
It is a known fact that (real and perceived) threats to our survival is a constant; competition, intimidation, isolation, our own insecurities, feeling dumb, feeling rejected, urgency and pressures to meet certain expectations from parents, teachers, friends and even ourselves, etc. These threats hinder growth.

Only when we feel safe and trust each other will we pull together as a unified team and thrive.

Our bodies are a connection-seeking machine.
Humans are physically, biologically, and physiologically regulated by being connected with others.

Is it no wonder that the current pandemic is loneliness?

“The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared loneliness to be a pressing global health threat, with the US surgeon general saying that its mortality effects are equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day.”
The key to physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, and relational health is Belonging.
I don’t mean being in a school club or organization and having 5000 Facebook friends. I mean having real connections.
I do not believe you can ever truly know who you are, what your purpose is, or what you truly believe, outside of your relationship with others. We are who we are because of relationships.
We are designed to live in connection.
Those around us become the mirror that we so desperately need for growth and maturation, that show the honest reflection of who we truly are, so that we can learn to love ourselves and become the best versions of ourselves.
The people we have around us is what determines what we can accomplish.
The ability to do remarkable things hinges on how well the team can pull together.
The more we trust those around us, the more we can face external threats together instead of trying to protect ourselves from each other.

The goal of leaders and masters then, is to free us of internal dangers from each other by giving people and teammates a sense of belonging:

By offering a culture of human values and beliefs.
By allowing people inside the team to become vulnerable with each other without preconceptions or judgments.
By providing the power and freedom to make decisions.
By offering trust and empathy.
By creating a circle of safety.
